Christine Hutton Minatra, age 81, died on Thursday, August 10, 2017, in Pulaski, TN.

She was born in Giles County, TN on October 8, 1935. She was a 1954 graduate of Campbellsville High School where she was a football cheerleader and basketball player. She was retired from the Giles County School System where she spent 30 years at Pulaski Elementary School, and in later years at Bridgeforth Middle School where she was a lifelong advocate and supporter for children's education. Christine Hutton Minatra, age 81, died on Thursday, August 10, 2017, in Pulaski, TN.

She was born in Giles County, TN on October 8, 1935. She was a 1954 graduate of Campbellsville High School where she was a football cheerleader and basketball player. She was retired from the Giles County School System where she spent 30 years at Pulaski Elementary School, and in later years at Bridgeforth Middle School where she was a lifelong advocate and supporter for children's education. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as past President with the Joyful Workers Sunday School Class. As the youngest member of her immediate Hutton family, she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Mitchell Hutton and Nancy Elizabeth Long Woods Hutton, one brother, Robert (Lillian) Hutton, and five sisters, Ruby Woods (Grady) Taylor, Elizabeth (John L.) Millican, Josephine Hutton, Louise (Douglas) Holbert, and Ruth (Warren) Burns.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John Dorval Minatra of Pulaski, their twin sons, Barry Minatra and wife Renee of Memphis, TN, Larry Minatra of Pulaski, and their daughter, Melissa Firetti and husband Mike of Rehoboth Beach, DE. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski. Burial to follow in Giles Memory Gardens.
